Vessels: Embodiments of the Human Condition
Vessels: Embodiments of the Human Condition
Solo Exhibition by Timothy RainerShow Opening
Date/Time: Saturday, January 17th, 2026 | 5-7PM
Location: ARTrageous Art Hub
223 S. Travis
Sherman, TX, 75090Artist Statement:
“My work draws upon the interrelationship between natural cycles, constructed environments, and human interaction. Through an interdisciplinary approach to painting and drawing, I examine the human condition as a layered and cumulative experience. Marks are built, revised, and partially obscured, allowing visual remnants to persist as evidence of process, memory, and temporal passage.
The process is both intuitive and structured. Initial stages prioritize exploration and improvisation, while each series is later governed by a set of predetermined rules resulting in a varied body of work. These constraints operate as a stabilizing system within uncertainty, creating a dialogue between control and chance. Through this methodology, the work reflects on resilience, adaptation, and the ongoing negotiation between order and instability.”
